The Operation!

Me before the operation! My hair looks crap because we had to wash ourselves with special scrub wash especially my hair.

Me done first, in my room, then Neil brought in just after his op, before he go to his room!

Next day, bandage off! Not much to see in this view. Wearing old glasses because it's sore area!
See the steristrips covering the scar!

New Project to do - Prayer Shawl!

Here's all the prayer squares and I need to make a decision do I do this in a long wrap or a triangle shawl, as shown in these two photographs below.  I will crochet around these squares before I can join them all together.

Sisters Crocheted & Knitted in Christ Forum

As usual, the new year brings challenges:
Decided to take up a prayer partner from the SC&KiC forum.  She is Elizabeth who lives in North Carolina, US.  The moderators of the group felt that it a mother and daughter relationship - me the elder and Liz the younger.

We have been given the task to create a scripture box for prayer partner, plus prayer square, and gifts.

What I made and bought for Liz are below:

Using her favourite square colours - I knitted this in blues and reds
The scripture box, with owl (me) and butterfly (Liz) stickers!
The yarns
Liz is learning art and crafts, thought these would help her!
I received parcel from Liz this week, and here are what was in it with a little card (not photographed) from her:

The prayer square!

The Scripture Box!

The yarn gifts!
The scripture box have various verses inside on scripture cards, and tabbed for ease of finding verses.  The box have plenty space for more scripture cards from other sisters in the forum.
