The Final Summit by Andy Andrews
Obtained free from BookSneeze.com and you are requested to write about it in your own blog.
I was somewhat curious as to what Andy was writing about this book, as it is a kind of motivational novel. It’s a story with a question! A guy called David Ponder was in his penthouse at the top of his office headquarters. He was missing his wife who passed away a while ago. What he most treasured is the leather pouch with the seven little parchments and still recall the moments when he was presented with these parchments with words written down, from various famous people he met on his “accident”.
When the archangel appeared to David after he cried, I realised that David is a “Traveler”. It reminded me of the novel “The Time Traveller’s Wife” that I’d been reading at another time, though not finished it!!!!
Soon David is taken up with the archangel for the Final Summit where he met the other Travelers and the archangel gave instructions for the summit. Then when summit started, the archangel gave a question to David, and said that the answer is in two words.
As I read along the conversations in the summit, I thought I had the answer to the question fairly early. Carried on reading and realised what the answer is. The answer and the discussion on the final answer made me think and challenged me to look at my actions and the Christian walk. The Travelers then drafted a personal declaration.
There are book study questions for each chapter at the end of the book, not yet tackle it.
This is worth recommending for you to read the book. I rate it about 4 out of 5.
